choosing the right flow

Choosing the right nipple flow rate for your baby's bottle is crucial for a comfortable and efficient feeding experience. Each baby is unique, and the ideal flow rate can depend on your baby’s feeding style and developmental stage.

Level 1 is designed for newborns and young infants. This is our slowest flow rate, perfect for babies who are just starting on bottles or are transitioning from breastfeeding.

Level 2 offers a medium flow that works well for babies who are between one to three months old. This flow rate supports babies who have become more familiar with bottle feeding and can handle a slightly faster milk flow. If you notice your baby becoming impatient with Level 1 or sucking very hard, it might be time to try Level 2.

Level 3 is the fastest flow rate and is generally suitable for older infants ready for more efficient feedings. This level is ideal for babies who are experienced with bottle feeding and show signs of wanting to finish their meals more quickly. If your baby is pulling at the bottle or seems frustrated because the milk isn't coming out fast enough, Level 3 might be the right choice.

It's important to observe your baby's feeding behavior with each nipple level and consult with your pediatrician if you're unsure about which flow rate is best for your child’s needs. Need additional help? Contact us at care@momi.baby.
